Reading/Writing
*Read, read, read as much as possible!
*Read to a friend/family member/stuffed animal
*Read a new genre that you normally wouldn't read at school such as a cookbook or magazine
*Read together- listen to someone read to you
*Write a letter, note, or thank you to someone you care about
*Work on a poem (it can be inspired by another poet or author)
 
Math
*Practice all 4 operations with whole numbers: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
*Use a recipe to explore fractions- cooking and baking are a great connection
*Practice measuring spaces and surfaces with a ruler to determine area and perimeter
*Go on a shape walk- identify as many geometric shapes as possible
 
Science and Social Studies
*Try your hand at planting seeds and experiment with the amount of sunlight and water to help your plant grow
*Practice states and capitals or research a state you have never been to/would like to go to
